• Informing: At this level, community members are provided with information about decisions and actions that affect them. This is often done through newsletters, websites, or public meetings.
• Consulting: Here, community members are invited to provide feedback on proposals or plans. This can include surveys, focus groups, or public forums where their opinions are valued.
• Involving: This level encourages active participation from community members in the decision-making process. It may involve collaborative workshops or community advisory boards.
• Collaborating: At this stage, community members and leaders work together to develop solutions. This partnership fosters a sense of ownership and shared responsibility.
• Empowering: The highest level of engagement, empowering, involves giving community members the authority to make decisions and take action. This can lead to sustainable change driven by the community itself.
