A combination of the Public Administration Course and the Financial Management Course at IQ Academy will assist you in realising your ambition of starting a finance clerk career. These two business short courses each can be completed within a 3 to 6 month period, with interest free course repayment terms over a 24 month period, and both are open to students who are 16 and older, and have completed Grade 9. A finance assistant can work within a number of different industries – with some of the more popular being government, insurance, banking and healthcare. A finance clerk will also see their duties vary depending on the environment that they are working in. Essentially, you will be the person responsible for taking on financial, clerical and administrative duties to assist in making sure that things are being run efficiently and accurately. As part of your duties, you will receive invoices and verify the source, while also see that any transactions done were within the financial policies and procedures of the company. You will also need to process reports, enter data, prepare cheques and maintain a general ledger. A listing of the different accounts, both debtors and creditors, must be maintained and updated. If you would like to find out more about these two courses and how they could benefit your finance clerk career, contact a consultant at IQ Academy now and they will provide further assistance.
